2.5 hrs to build. Sturdy. Interlock annoying.
We got this unit as used – like new condition. All parts were there except for an Allan wrench key. Luckily I had a leftover from previous Ikea builds. I also had a home socket set that I used to help build this unit. The dresser itself is very sturdy. It is not flimsy like Ikea quality. The wood was a mixture of particle board or compressed wood layers. The particle board was the side panels from the drawer, if I remembered correctly. We like the look of it. We like the legs. We don’t really like the drawer handles but we like how we can get new handles at Home Depot as replacements. We love the price since I bought it as used.I wouldn’t say it was hard to assemble but I also wouldn’t say it was easy. You definitely have to read the directions. It is doable with one person but having a partner makes it way easier. Sometimes you just need that extra pair of hands to hold a part for you to screw on or to hand you the right tool to do the work. Overall it took about 2.5 hrs. In the end, we also put felt on the bottom of the legs to protect our hardwood floors. The annoying part is the interlocking system. It made it hard to open each drawer. I had to pull really hard with both hands with my knee pushed against the cabinet. Sure, we can live with that! But someone left an Amazon review saying it is difficult to open with one hand if you had the baby in the other hand. With that point in mind, I took off the interlocking system. Go look for the video from Delta Children on how to replace the interlocking system from this exact dresser to learn how to remove the drawers. Then remove the interlocking system. Now, voila! The dresser is so much easier to open. Still sturdy. It is basically the model without the interlocking system now. If you are looking for a sturdy dresser that is not too expensive and you do not need the interlocking system, this is a good option. If you are looking for a sturdy dresser with an interlocking system, then this is not the dresser for you.

    The perfect dresser!
Great value, quality product. I was worried after reading some of the reviews about assembly and pieces arriving damaged but my husband and I had no issues putting this dresser together. We assembled it in a little under 3 hours. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The dresser itself is sturdy and looks amazing in our nursery. I love that the changing top is removable later on so that it can just be a regular dresser. If you see this dresser in stock, order it without hesitation!Note: changing pad is not included!

    Good dresser!
I really liked it. I liked the finished product for my baby’s nursery room. The assembly wasn’t as fast & easy but just follow the instructions on the book & you’ll get it. A lot of parts, tools so it’s very time consuming. Took my husband about an hour or so. He did use a drill at the end. It doesn’t recommend for us to use one but he did and it turned out just fine. Just do it slow, it helped a lot if not the process would’ve been longer. No damaged parts or anything i was kind of scared bc of some of the reviews but nothing came damaged. Worth the money. It’s pretty sturdy too!

Strong chemical smell of paint, functionally small shelves
I am disappointed with this order.First:It has a very strong chemical smell of paint, for 3 weeks I washed it many times with different substances, I took it outside of the balcony for ventilation, and only after all these actions the smell became less. But it’s still there.I find this unacceptable for newborn furniture.Second: This is a small depth and capacity of the shelves. The depth of drawer dresser – 19 inchesBut the depth of the shelf is – 12 inchesI don’t understand the reason why a chest of drawers for things actually takes up a lot of space, but inside it is functionally small. The last one is not a snug fit of the shelves, when closing, I don’t understand what the reason is, but it is, and it’s not very pleasant. The advantages are massiveness, appearance and delivery right to the door. These disadvantages greatly outweigh the advantages. 🙁

Attractive Dresser that makes you appreciate the “ease” of assembly of Ikea Products
Dresser looks great and will work great for baby clothes/changing table, but it was a pain to assemble. Box is quite heavy. It is not a one person job to move the box, though my husband moved the box up the stairs solo. I like how all the pieces are labeled and they do give you extra parts and an allen wrench with a handle. Instruction manual is fairly straightforward to follow, as long as there were no quality control issues with the dresser. Despite following all the direction to the tee, we discovered a missing hole for a dowel on the changing top which required power tools to add. 2/3 of the drawer bottoms were not able to align with the sides of the drawers without “shaving” down the drawer sides and undo-ing and redo-ing some steps. The drawers don’t slide as willingly along the glides as one would hope. Really have to force the drawers to close all the way. I would say assembly took us about 4 hours over two evenings, since we did a lot of experimenting with the drawers to see what would make them work better, plus getting a hole drilled in the changing top an my in-laws.
