Game changing travel solution for parents
We bought the Evenflo Shyft DualRide specifically for international travel, and it honestly made the trip way easier than expected. Being able to use it as both a car seat and stroller was a huge win, as we used it in all the airports during layovers. Once we landed, we were able to buckle it into rides without the base, which gave us a lot of flexibility. That feature alone was why we bought it. In the past, we had considered just buying cheap car seats and donating them when we returned home. The base it comes with is well designed too, it uses the car’s anchor points for secure attachment and feels solid. The seat itself is well padded, with quality cushions and a sun cover that feels like actual high-end fabric, not just a cheap plastic flap. Our son seemed comfortable in it even for long periods. One of the most surprising features is the smart buckle. It actually alerts me if the baby’s been buckled in too long, which is a nice reminder to give him a break and stretch his legs. Even better, the app pings my phone if I walk away while he’s still strapped in.The only downside is the price. Given it’s definitely on the higher end, but considering what it offers, I think it earns it. The only minor concern is that the stroller mode has a bit of wobble when pushing, so while it doesn’t feel unsafe, it’s not as tight or smooth as a full-sized dedicated stroller like we have that you could offroad with, but this was a niche buy for airports and overseas and it works great for that. Still, I’d absolutely buy it again for the convenience and safety features.

Very convenient and saves your back!
This is the best carseat for our family! We have 2 older kids we are constantly chasing and it’s nice to be able to have wheels on the go! It was a little tricky to figure out how to use but we didn’t really read any instructions, just tried to wing it! It is a little heavy carrying the carseat with the wheels attached so I recommend not having the wheels on if you are only carrying (They easily detach!)

    Great stroller/car seat combo!
Definitely worth the money if you don’t want to pay the doona price! Locks in very easy, overall easy to use and fits perfectly in my SUV

  4. Amazon Customer Lolo

    Versatile
Love this car seat/stroller duo. It is easy to clip in and out of car and the cushion is so soft for baby. Only downfall is that the car seat by itself is fairly heavy. Love the stroller clip in part and versatility of not having to bring an extra stroller for outings. Overall 4 stars only due to weight.

    Amazing!
This is by far the best purchase we’ve made! I have a bad back and there are so many Dr’s appointments to go to! I have 2 older kids and this is also great for school and sporting events. There’s a little cubby on the back thats fits 2-3 diapers and a pack of wipes. Its absolutely perfect for runing errands. The handle is adjustable so our other kids can take turns pushing the baby. There is also breaks which is amazing for parking lots and hills. It is heavy having the base and wheels attached and even heavier with the baby in it but thankfully you only need to pick it up to get in and out of the car.The wheels suck in grassy and rocky areas but overall we are very happy.

    Easy to fold/ unfold
I was hesitant to buy this because the reviews are not amazing. I love this car seat! With my other two kids, I just had a car seat without the stroller component. That thing was so bulky and heavy. It was hard for me to carry. This stroller/ car seat combo is awesome! So easy to go out shopping. I read other reviews that said it’s hard to get it up & down. It’s really not. Do it a few times and you’ll have the hang of it quickly. It is so worth the cost and I’m so glad I bought it!

  7. Michelle Kelly

    Dualride over Doona.
Love the car seat. It’s so sturdy and durable. Love all the safety features. Took the stroller on a weekend getaway. It saved us so much trunk space to not have to pack a regular stroller. The extended canopy is wonderful. I really compared and contrasted this stroller with the Doona. So glad we went with this one. 10/10.

    Convenient and worth the price
Let’s start with the bad. It’s wide and makes getting to the passenger seat belt difficult amd takes up a lot of space. The wheels inevitably touch whomever is sitting next to the stroller. The wheel cover only partially covers the bottom of the wheel, not the sides or top, better than nothing but almost like nothing. The stroller itself is a little low and the ride is a bit rough. Folding the wheels down requires pushing on the back of the wheels while holding down the bottom latch. A little akward but not the end of the world. Lastly, pretty heavy to lug around in stroller mode if the stroller is not engaged, which makes taking out and putting into the car slightly more difficult than a regular car seat. However, what you get is convenience and space savings. Which makes it well worth the cons. You can easily take it out in carriage mode or stroller mode and don’t need a seperate stroller base in the trunk. But everyone interested in this stroller already understands this. It’s up to the individual if the convenience is worth the drawbacks.
