Super handy
This has worked out perfectly for our deck. I purchased two of them and was able to install this very easily retract very quickly and easily. Very securely attaches to the wood beams. The dog cannot get underneath it. I don’t recommend using the attachment for the screen underneath for the simple reason, people could easily trip on it, especially if they are older.

Easy to install. Very easy to open and close.This is our third gate we purchased wirh this brand.We put one on each deck to keep our dog outside on the deck.She can see through the mesh but it it sturdy enough to keep her safe without restricting her vision of the yard.

Easy to install and works great to keep our young grandchildren away from the steps. Easy to open and close and has a great locking feature to keep them from opening and closing.

Best design for retractable gate – no replacement or extra catches available
This is a great gate. I ordered this one after seeing a similar one at my sister’s house. I like the locking mechanism better than the rotating ones. I took off one star because the latching setup for the gate is reversed from all the other models offered on Amazon. This model has hooks on the gate and bars on the wall. The gate works much better this way but there are no replacement catches of this type available on amazon so I cant set it up to close openings in multiple directions. This would be 5-star if the seller made extra catches available for purchase

Easy installation (for my husband!). The retractable spring feels to be good quality and it makes keeping our dogs out so much easier than a regular baby gate!

Good price if you’re on a budget. Works wells, but I’ve been using them for about a month and the locks are getting stuck. It was easy to install. Works wells for kids and dogs

I like this gate for my family.PROS: retractable, tall enough, wide enough, has locking mechanism, good neutral color, easy set up, intuitive and functional (even kids can learn how to use)CONS: can only attach 1 way (left retractable base w/ right hook closure), mesh “gate” not as sturdy or firm as expected, may not hold up to more rambunctious children or pets, plastic parts
