Solid gate for pets and kids, but more semi-permanent than portable
I got this gate for my dogs so we can leave the door open on nice days without them running in and out. It works great once it’s set up, but there are a few things I wish I’d known before buying it.This isn’t the kind of gate you can pop in and out quickly. It’s more of a semi-permanent setup. You can remove it, but when you do, the end pieces will fall out, so it’s a bit of a hassle if you plan to move it often. If that’s your plan, you might want a one-piece gate instead.Once it’s installed though, it’s very sturdy. The pressure needs to be just right or the door won’t close properly, so make sure you measure your doorway and figure out which extenders you’ll need before setting it up. It took me a little trial and error to get everything aligned, but once I did, it fit perfectly. My doorway is 38 inches and I used both extenders. Now that it’s in place, it’s doing exactly what I wanted, the dogs can’t run out or bark every time someone walks by the backyard. Huge win! The gate door itself opens easily for adults, but it has a double-latch safety feature that would also make it great for babies or toddlers.Overall, once you get it set up, it’s sturdy and works really well. Just expect to spend a little time getting it right at first.

Message well received of what the parents need for safety with the makers!!!!
Worked through the rugged usage from the family! It is very durable… if it can get passed the toddler test over here. It’s a great bang for the buck, easy to assemble/use, it blends very well with my kitchen & living room space with the loft like walls that I have. We love it & highly recommend for any family looking for a safe way to divide their home to make a kid friendly space! It’s easy to remove & move about throughout the house & the size is incredible big enough. It’s versatility for any space is awesome! Love it!

    Wish there were 10 stars!!!
These are BRILLIANT! Easy to put up, look great. BUT!!! By FAR the most logical gates I’ve ever seen. They have a door!!!! You simply unmatched it, and walk on through…we have ALL stumbled trying to climb over baby gates. NEVER AGAIN!!! I’m stupidly happy. Got a huge puppy yesterday, and she can’t push it down! Hah!Don’t bother with the sticky stuff, though. Not needed.

Would purchase again; many negative reviews are user error
I bought the regular and extended sizes for two different areas of my house. The gates were easy to install and seem to work as described. I haven’t had any of the latch issues that other reviewers reported, but I just bought it, so we’ll see.I gave it 4 stars simply because I could not get the latch gap to be even, and I’m anal retentive so it drove me crazy. This could probably be fixed if I could tighten the bottom pressure bolts more, but my fingers just weren’t strong enough, and my pliers kept scratching up the plastic, so I gave up (I even tried wrapping the pliers in cloth to decrease damage, but then I couldn’t get a grip strong enough to turn them). Anyway, they used to just use regular metal bolts which made adjusting the pressure mounts way easier. Yes, the gray “bolts” look nicer, but the regular bolts were more functional. You could always switch the gray pieces out with regular bolts if you wanted to. I just installed these late at night and wanted it done. I may do that in the future at some point. All that being said, I would like to state that a good portion of the negative reviews on this gate are user error. The amount of people that don’t know how to measure or can’t read instructions baffles me. First off, assuming you have all the parts it says you’re supposed to have, if you measure your doorway correctly, and it says it will fit, it will. If it doesn’t, you either measured wrong or are mounting it wrong. One reviewer complaining that the gate didn’t fit their 38” doorway/stairway posted a picture of their measurement, but it didn’t actually show the entire step in the picture, so her evidence is null. Second, the latch looks crooked and does not connect when taken out of the box – this is normal for pressure mounted gates – always has been. Mount it correctly, and the gap will close. Third, a couple of people complained that the plastic inserts that you have to remove to add the extenders were “impossible to remove.” I removed them very easily by inserting the bolt and wiggling it out. Fourth, a couple of people complained that it was unsafe at the top of the stairs. Well, in all fairness, the manual warns that the gate should not be used at the top of stairs. You’re technically not supposed to use pressure mounted gates at the top of stairs period. So, think about what you’re installing the gate for before doing it. If you’re going to let your kid hang all over the gate, it’s probably not a good idea to mount it where they can fall down 15 stairs. Also, it’s always a good idea to double check the pressure bolts about once per month. Daily use will cause things to loosen; it’s just common sense.Anywho, as of right now, I would purchase these gates again if I needed to. If an issue turns up in the future, I will update my review!

Finally a pressure-held gate with door that really works.
Infinitely better in all respects from what was available 50 years ago for our children. Very well designed and built. We found it easy to assemble and fit to a 36 inch doorway for our new puppy. A good pressure-installed design requires a stiff steel frame that is built so that it looks bent and requires considerable compression from the wall pressure screws to align properly. This unit definitely has that built-in aligned compression (sorry, I am an engineer) and that makes it work as if it were built-in to the doorway.

    2.5+ yr review!!!
2.5 yr update!!! This gate is amazing hands down full stop!!! lol I’ve had this gate for 2.5+ yrs and my 2 little monsters have stood, pulled, yanked, climbed all over this gate and it hasn’t budged, never needed to fix or anything. Fully recommend this to anyone it will not disappoint it is exactly what you want. I don’t often do reviews but this thing is a champ and a must buy! Great product.

Baby Gate to End All Baby Gates
The gate was easy to install. The latch indicator makes it very easy to tell if the gate is locked, which provides peace of mind. We have yet to trip on the lower bar while walking through, but may add reflective tape if this becomes an issue at night. Overall I am very happy with the quality, stability, and user experience. It has actually ruined all other baby gates for me and I wish they made this exact gate in more sizes.

Perfect gate to keep the dog and little ones out of the bedroom.
I am so glad we got this. It is very sturdy and easy to use. Read the instructions or better yet have one of the kids put it up for you. Keeps the dog out of the bedroom but doesn’t slow me down going in and out. Perfect. We bought one and then we bought another one.

A great product, easy to assemble (no tools required and good instructions) and a really good height, especially if you have a large dog, or a family member who needs to be in a secure environment. Good options to make the gate shorter or longer. Highly recommended.

Super mega bueno.

  13. Good quality

    Good
