Perfect cat gate
Our senior cat started peeing in our downstairs hallway and bedrooms so we needed a walk-thru gate to block the stairs to the lower level. We put the 55.1″ gate at the bottom of the stairs between support beam and wall and it is perfect. It was very easy to install. We bought separate wall cups. It is stable and very easy to latch and unlatch to step through. It’s a great gate.

Could be a 5 Star product! Poor (no) instructions; “requires wall cups” but none provided.
As many other reviewers have mentioned, the ‘instructions’ that come with this gate are horribly inadequate! They don’t even mention how to attach/install the extenders. Fortunately, I have a 30″ door that this fit perfectly. Even with the base trim I was able to securely fit it all the way to the carpet by removing the thumb-wheel tightener and using one of the nuts supplied (for some unnamed purpose since the directions don’t mention them). The REALLY interesting part is that the box that the unit is packed in says “You MUST install wall cups to keep the gate in place” and yet no wall cups are provided. Are we supposed to go to some unnamed website to find and purchase wall cups? Anyway, it serves the purpose of keeping my cats out of the basement and it’s too tall for them to jump.

Durable and both baby and dog proof!
This is the only gate my dogs can’t open(also my baby couldn’t open it but my older kids easily can). It’s wonderful. Love it! It’s not as fancy as some gates but it’s more durable for our regular use.

Not stable
The gate never stays stable. It consistently does not stay tight. I’m afraid my dog it is going to fall on my dog. We had to put a screw in the top and now have to do it to the bottom.

I have lots of cats. When we have kittens this gate ensures that they stay put in one specific space for safekeeping until they merge with the others. They cannot clear it. It is aesthetically pleasing, and very functional. Easy to apply in any door space. Opens easily. Can be hinge locked from the inside or outside.
