Nice quality, but a few things I would change
This portable changing pad is nice and thick, which is great for baby’s comfort if you have to change them on a hard surface. The inner material is easy to wipe clean, and I like that the storage pockets can fit wipes and supplies even when the pad is folded up. Despite being a travel changing pad, it does take up quite a bit of space even when folded up, especially if you have stuff in the pockets. And for how much space it takes up when folded, it’s really not all that large when open compared to some other portable pads.Two things I would maybe change would be the outer material and the velcro placement. While the outer material is really nice, soft, and cute, it does get dirty easily if you have to put it on the floor, since the plush material picks up dirt and debris. As far as the velcro, the scratchy velcro square is where baby’s head or legs/feet are depending on which direction they’re facing, and it’s a pretty scratchy, rough material against baby skin. I wish it was on a flap that I could fold under or something so it’s out of the way. Other than that, I do think this is a well-constructed changing pad that’s especially nice for use on hard surfaces!

Soft and cute
This pad is plush, easy to fit in my bag because it folds flat. The outside is hard to clean just given the plush material, but the inside is easy to wipe. This is an good quality pad for the price that I paid, its beautiful. It isn’t bulky which I appreciate., cute little teddy keychain comes included with the purchase as well. Not heavily padded or sturdy, just a pretty diaper changing mat, eady to wipe inner pad.

I’d rate it somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4.
This is so much larger than I was expecting it to be. I wouldn’t exactly say that this is super portable. When I saw it I figured that it would be more wallet sized rather than bigger than a sheet of paper. This just feels a tad bit bulky compared to other changing pads that I have. One side of it is wipable while the other side is made of a soft, fuzzy material that almost reminds me of carpet material. This changing pad even has two pockets that I can keep a couple diapers and wipes in or maybe some rash cream. It folds up and stayed folded with a Velcro closure. It even comes with the little bear keychain. Overall, it’s nice and it is padded really well, but it’s definitely something that’s much bigger than I thought it would be. I could see me using this when going over to friends’ houses, but not necessarily if I were to go traveling or if I were to take my baby to say Disneyland/world. I also wish that I would have gotten one of the colored ones instead of the cream colored one. The cream is going to just show any dirt or stains that get on it so easily over time.

Reminiscent of classic mohair teddy bear fur
This J & Joo portable diaper changing pad really is super cute. The curly fur fabric on the reverse side of the pad is reminiscent of a traditional old fashioned mohair teddy bear and is adorable. The ad describes it as sherpa but it is different from most fleece that is called sherpa, it is shorter pile. Plus you get an actual baby sized teddy bear. This pad would be an excellent gift because it does have a cute factor making it more lovable than a simple utilitarian portable changing mat. It is nevertheless light weight and practical, with a wipeable changing side. As on many other portable changing mats there are “wings” with mesh pockets for holding diapers, portable wipes, diaper rash cream, etc. Unlike some other portable changing mats, it is padded, there is foam inside, but additionally that’s one practical aspect of the “teddy bear” fur–it affords some extra padding. It would also be somewhat anti-slip.The one concern I have with this is that the furry side will clearly not be easy to clean. I cannot find anything that suggests this is machine washable. The included maintenance instructions direct you to wipe clean the waterproof inside. This would best be used, then, as an occasional use item and not the greatest choice for a frequently used portable diaper changing pad, though the overall quality is sturdy and the possibility of using the furry side as a tummy time fur mat, IF it is clean, is appealing. They don’t seem to recommend it for that so probably shouldn’t. If it’s practical to utilize this as a padded layer with a disposable liner layer of some kind over the top of it that would be one way to use this while keeping it as clean as possible. I only say that because I really like this and would be unhappy to get it dirty. But nothing lasts forever especially around babies. ANY portable changing mat is basically a multi use disposable item.The size of this mat also makes it a short term use item–it’s not large. This mat is primarily for babies up to a year old. This is not a toddler changing pad.I do think this is a super baby shower gift. It just is so extra cute. All the colors are nice.
