Good value, even with this silly not-really-a-spork-what-is-this-thing utensil
The bib, plate, and bowl/cup are great. The suction cups on the bottom are pivotal. Baby tosses them otherwise.This kit has a few different utensils, so let me explain the deal here.(1) The ones with the “guards” on them, super easy to give your baby on their own and just let them go nuts. They’re probably not going to be able to choke on them because the guard makes it really hard for them to stab the back of their throat. These two are also shorter so they’re not floppy when the baby is learning to eat on their own. BUT, that’s more for either just letting the kid develop dexterity holding something, or when the baby is into toddler-hood and is actually eating on their own. They’re pretty terrible when you’re trying to feed the baby because their face never lines up with the guard right. This is not unique to this brand… all the ones with the guards on them are like this. That’s not to say they’re bad… you want your baby to have something they can develop dexterity with. Even if you’re using another utensil, just give this to your baby at dinner time.(2) the normal spoon is pretty standard, not much to say here. It appears to be full soft silicone, no plastic stringer. These are the defaults we use a lot.(3) then there’s this weird not-exactly-a-spork-but-i-don’t-know-what-this-is thing. They say it’s for dipping into purees, but I’m practically a michelin star chef, and we puree all day… I wouldn’t use this for purees. If I could walk into the factory and talk to product right now, I’d say swap this out for a normal spoon. Yes, spoon, not spork. Full soft silicone sporks and forks are almost as useless as this thing.So with the obvious negatives, why the rating? … a lot of these kits have a LOT fewer utensils. So when you get this goofy not-really-a-spork-but-what-is-this-thing utensil, you don’t really care. Overall, it’s a decent value. Each of the other utensils has its purpose.

It’s beautiful, a soft to the touch silicon material, it’s been used a lot, very sturdy, I wash it by hand as it’s probably not the best idea to put this dish wear set in a dishwasher. My daughter loves it, the eating utensils are easy for her to maneuver as a beginner, and I love that the plate & bowl have a suction cup so she can’t go flinging her plates off the high chair. It’s a nice beginner set. My only complaint would be the bib pulls my daughters hair, it hurts her, we’ve tried wearing it loose and snug and it doesn’t matter what length the bib is at, her hair gets wrapped around the silicone buttons on the bib, she’s a year old so the back of her hair isn’t long enough to put in a pony tail but its also at that length where it’s long enough for the bib to pull on her little baby hairs and make her cry. SO, With that being said I’m gonna have to take a star away from that and say buyers beware, especially if you have infants/toddlers with long hair. I wanted to add some pictures of the set and how it came packaged, it was shipped inside of a nice sturdy box, inside of that box was another box which had the set inside of, that box was pretty beat up but the Amazon box it was shipped in was fully intact and perfect condition, so the damage to the box was before it got sent to me, upon inspection I found everything to be in great condition inside of the box despite it being beat up, and also found care instructions inside of the box so that’s helpful!

Great Starter Set for Baby Led Weaning
