Really nice dresser and changing table
This DaVinci Jayden 3-drawer changer dresser is really nice – I am glad I took a chance on it. It’s difficult to buy something unseen but I was not disappointed by this dresser one bit. It looks almost exactly like the picture. I did think the wood would be just a bit lighter – it appears a bit darker than the listing photo – but it is still lovely and looks nice in my room. There are a TON of parts and pieces and assembly of this dresser does take a fair amount of time but the instructions were easy to follow. Although time consuming, assembly was easy. The parts of the dresser are labeled – some are labeled on the side of the wood in ink stamp and some have stickers on them.My only gripe is that a lot of the dresser is particle board, and for some reason removing some of the ID stickers really ruined the surface of certain pieces. I left most of the labels on because they’re not visible but I did remove a handful (mostly the parts that made up the bottom of something – the inside bottom of the drawers or the bottom part of the top changing pad area). It might sound silly but those pieces were two sided, and sometimes I liked the wood pattern of the “labeled” side better. For example, the top part that goes under the changing pad is really designed to have most of the surface taken up with the warning label about proper use and not leaving children unattended. I opted to install that piece “upside down” so that the top of my dresser could be “wood” appearance instead of two-thirds warning and one-third wood (I know it’s covered by the changing pad, but if the pad ever shifts I’d like to see wood, not warning label). However, removing the ID label ruined a small circle on the wood side as noted in the picture. This is kind of supposed to be a moot point as this dresser also includes a thin 1″ or so pad that takes up the whole top. I did not install this pad and just used a more sturdy and durable changing pad which actually does not take up the entire top.The dresser is a nice size and very sturdy so I am overall satisfied with it.
