Good for unused, infrequently used outlets
These covers are great replacements for standard outlet covers to protect against wandering fingers. They do not sit flush to the wall, but that’s an inherent requirement of the design. We’ve made several orders of these over the last year and a half and never had an issue as others have reported of the plugs falling out because of the extra distance. For what we use these for given the design – preventing wandering children’s fingers and ensuring if plugged in things are removed the outlets are covered -, they’re great. These are not intended to prevent children from unplugging things – we use a different bigger and more difficult cover to open for this. They’re easy to install, strong enough plastic not to crack if significantly tightened, and come with all the necessary screws and pieces to fit what I believe are the most common types of outlets, including those with the middle screw.

    Awesome for childproofing!
Works well, good quality and design! Bright white in color!

    Great Value
Great value. Outlet covers fit snug on outlet and are virtually impossible for a toddler to remove.

Great Babyproofing Option, Just a Bit Smaller Than Standard
Really liked these as a baby proofing option that wasn’t obnoxious or requiring us to take the plug covers in and out. This came with all the pieces to adapt to different plug styles and was very easy to install. I ended up going back to purchse more later Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because they are just a bit smaller than the standard outlet covers so it shows more wall/areas that didn’t get painted as well because they were hidden behind the original outlet covers.

    Black outlet cover
I really wanted a black outlet under my kitchen island but I didn’t want to pay an electrician to come out to change just one outlet so I did find a paintable outlet cover however this outlet gets used a lot for charging iPads and phones so I was afraid the paintable outlet cover would get scratched. I then found this outlet cover and I am so pleased with it. This outlet cover blends in well and I only needed the center screw to attach. It comes with two very tiny hole covers for the other 2 holes that I didn’t need however I had issues getting one of the covers on. I really had to work it in carefully yet with some force but it eventually went in. Overall I’m very happy with this outlet cover and even though it’s a childproof cover it is what I needed to cover up the white outlet without having to pay an electrician to come out. It is a glossy finish but it still blends in well and you hardly notice the outlet is even there.

    Opposite of childproof/ HAZARD
The concept is good, but I’ve ordered a couple of these. I got a set of two, misplaced them and then ordered another two and then found the first ones. So I had four, delivered weeks apart, so I know this isn’t just necessarily a single batch issue. When you open the sliding door on the front that exposes the outlet, it will get stuck and it’s so difficult to shut again. It’s supposed to work almost like it’s spring loaded to where as soon as you pull out the prongs of an electronic device, it automatically shuts the access to the electricity. Instead it gets stuck in the open position and it makes it incredibly easy for a child to take out whatever is plugged in and start messing with the outlet just as my 2-year-old son has done. And it takes my full three decades of adult power to try to shut it again. I broke both my thumbnails trying to get it to close again before finally using a butter knife that I’d wrapped in a towel first, and after pushing a ton of effort into it I finally got one of them to close. The rest were just as difficult if not worse. When I say they stick I mean they are STUCK in the open accessible position. So instead of creating a childproof environment it created a bigger hazard. Absolutely do not recommend these are very low quality.

    Just ok.
They work ok but when I plug anything into them it falls out easily.

    Finaly a childproof cover
I purchased few plugs to secure my outlets to prevent my two years old kid from messing with outlets, but he was strong enough to pull them out, so I found these, and he hardly can figure out how it works…for now… I am sure in few months he will figure out this kit, but until then, I would recommend this cover.

Used these in my basement and main floor renovation, they work well and protect small children from hazards.

I like that if I need to quickly pull something out of the wall because my son is there, that he can’t stick his fingers in. But for some reason, we cannot tighten it all the way or else the clip doesn’t go back on its on when you pull it out- so since its not tight tight, he can spin it around sometimes on the wall, exposing the box. so, most of the time it’s okay, but it would be nice if you could have it tight tight
