The idea for this is great. I just don’t think it works well enough for me. It takes too long to buff down the nail after sitting there trying and a 7 week old isn’t patient compared to a 2 week old and moves too much for a slow working machine. I’d rather just clip them. I will say it was super quiet. You could feel the vibration but couldn’t hear it which is a newborn win!

I really like this little nail file. I’m terrified of cutting my baby’s nails, but I also don’t want him to be able to scratch himself. This trimmer has made it so easy to trim his nails and leaves them soft so he doesn’t scratch himself.

This product is comparable to others similar on the market. Compared to others I do love that the storage box has labels for what age range each file is meant for. It makes it much easier for a first time mom to remember. The speed is sufficient, not too fast but not too slow. The fox design is also very cute and fun for babies to look at. This is my favorite gift to give to new moms who don’t realize how essential a good file is for their newborn!

BEST NAIL FILE EVER!
We’ve had the Frida electric nail file for a couple years and honestly I wasn’t impressed and our toddler still screamed bloody murder when getting her nails filed. For the first time in years I was able using this cute nail file to do my toddlers nails in 3 minutes flat. She even giggled during it and sat really still! Def recommend this product and it’s half the price of the Frida one and feels better for both the child and adult.

Super easy to use baby nail trimmer. It is fairly quiet although the hum is noteable. The light is very handy for being able to see while filing baby’s nails. And it stops on a dime if you hit anything other than fingernail. Safe for baby and strong enough to use for adults.

This is not our first electric nail trimmer. I have bad eyes and struggle with clipping nails on a flailing monster baby, so have been using one since birth. I thought the one that I had was amazing, but this little fox humbled me.The product arrived well packaged, in a box that clearly states and updates what is inside. The nail trimmer and its attachments are well secured inside a durable plastic carrying case- definitely perfect for storage or travel. The light ID bright enough to help with visibility, but not so bright that it’s blinding. Contrary to another reviewer’s perspective, I DID find the light useful- I did not find that the pad placement interfered with it’s use, however I do use the machine from above the fingers rather than in front. The filing unit has two speeds for each direction; clockwise and counterclockwise, and is more than just whisper quiet, it is virtually silent.The only downsides to this kit that I have found are1. It does not include replacement pads- they must be purchased separately, which is unlike any other unit I have purchased2. The pads are all VERY similar colours, which could make them difficult to distinguish if you took multiple or unintentionally. If my eyes were any worse I would struggle to tell them apart.Overall I love this little guy and he has definitely replaced my old reliable as the daily use one!

This is a really well made little file. The sanding pads are a nice graduation of colours which darken as you move up the age scale and the motor is absolutely silent, which is very impressive!There’s a little light on the end for lower lighting nail cuts which is a nice little feature. The handle is nice and sturdy and the option to reverse the spin is really handy, as I’ve seen better results on different nails with the clockwise compared to counter-clockwise and vice versa.All I’d say is for the first couple of weeks at least a newborns nails are extremely soft, despite their sharp edges! This means their nails tear easier, and a couple of times if you’re not getting the angle absolutely pin perfect, the nails will fray on the edges, which isn’t desirable. Even on the lowest setting I’ve sometimes slowed the speed on my own finger to stop this happening.Once our little one has developed some slightly harder nails it’ll be fine, but just something to watch out for and not an issue with this particular product, more a general point. Overall I think this is excellent, and look forward to using the adult sanding disc at some point!
