Great therapy after brain injury!
It might sound silly, but I bought these for my husband who is over 60 years old. He had a subdural hematoma that affected him like a stroke, and we are trying to gain back dexterity in his right hand. I thought these items would be great for him to name the shape and also fit the wooden piece in the correct hole with his affected hand. Please note, it is necessary to insert the pieces along the bottom of each side of the box before putting more in or they won’t fit freely into the box without shaking other blocks out of the way. The quality is excellent. They went to great efforts to round the corners and sand the whole surface of the box. Love that it is made of wood and not plastic! Very pleased with this, and it will be useful when other people bring kids over to the house as well.

My granddaughter loved these.

Challenging
I loved this for my clients. Working with kids who have ASD and like challenging things and puzzle this is a high recommendation. It improves motor skills and memorization. It’s a nice gift for someone who has a toddler or preschooler learning shapes

purchased the same one the second one was smaller?
My granddaughter loves this, I went to purchase a second one to have one at my house. When the second one came in it’s smaller? Just a little confused how it could be smaller, when I re-purchased the first one. I would like to purchase the first one that’s bigger for her so hopefully the person who ships these out sees this because I would like another one. The first one is almost 6 in by 6 in the second one is about an inch or two smaller, you can see in the picture. I’m going to be returning the second one pieces are too small for her. Otherwise this is a great toy for kids.

Great learning toy for toddlers
Our 1yo daughter loves these. I bought it for her at 11mos. She was more interested in playing with the shapes at first, but then she moved to putting them in and out of the big open top. She’s rapidly figured out that they fit through the holes, and that they fit through different holes and will turn it and try to find the right ones. Some of the shapes are tough at her age still… But it keeps her fascinated and she’s intent on learning how to do it, and loves playing with it. Great toy. Well made. Shapes are perfect size for tiny hands to hold and play with.

A solid toy for helping young children develop skills
I purchased this for my toddler grandson to play with when he comes to visit. At 16 months, he’s still too young to fully appreciate it, but I’m sure that he’ll enjoy it, over the next couple of years, as it helps him develop important skills. The toy seems well-constructed, sturdy, and safe for young kids; it is essentially what I (a retired child psychologist) was looking to provide for my grandchild.

Fun basic toy
Put together well. Thick wood sides. Bottom is thin plywood, however. The top does come off easily when turned over, so I added a couple of magnets to keep it in place, but the magnets had a tendency to catch on the lid when the 18 mo old was trying to put the lid on properly, so took it back off. The string handles are a nice addition. He doesn’t really grasp the concept of matching the shapes yet, but he likes toting the box around by the string and having a mobil block container.

Good but lid is annoying.
The lid just kind of sits on top and isn’t latched in, so when you turn the block to use other sides, the lid falls out every time. It’s just annoying to have to pick it up and try to put it back in as an eager toddler uses the block. It’s almost like you’d have to use tape every time you want to use it.
