Essential and reliable tool for my Axolotl
I use this every day on my axolotl tank. I will get notified at work if my probe temperature is too high, and I’m able to turn my smart AC thermostat down in my house to help Keep the tank from getting too warm, which would result in my axolotl getting lethargic. It has been very reliable; since I put it up months ago, it has never stopped working. It was very easy to install, fairly priced and appears to be very accurate.

Good low cost solution for temperature monitoring
These temperature monitors are nicely packaged, easy to setup, and seem to work as expected. A few things to note: 1) The devices come with a pull tab keeping the battery off. Pulling the tab starts the device and begins the pairing process. When setting them up, download the company’s app *first* and get it installed and ready before pulling the tab. Otherwise you may see the device time-out and exit pairing mode. Then you need to remove the batteries to start over.2) You can get these devices into Alexa and Google home but only the internal temperature sensor gets reported to Alexa. The probe temperature won’t go to Alexa. The probe temperature does go to Google Home but only in Celsius and does not appear as the primary reading. This is a disappointment if you are monitoring a fish tank or freezer because you only get data on the device temperature. But in their own app it appears correctly with statistics.3) The devices seem to go to sleep if the temperature being measured does not change by a degree or so. That’s OK for our usage and we suspect this is meant to save battery life. But if you are looking for high resolution temperature monitoring at short intervals these may not be your solution.For the price, they are OK but 4 stars instead of 5 for the interoperability limits. We have not had them running long enough to gauge the battery life. We’ll probably buy more. We’re hoping for some software updates.

Easy to set up
I use this to manage my DIY 300 gallon hot tub. Super easy to set up with the SmartLife App. It’s accurate and easily integrated with my pump and flow type water heater.

The accuracy is good but uses a third party app for logging which is not good for data logging and history tracking.

I have just installed one of these and I can already say that there are some good and bad.The bad:Uses AAA batteries (in the description)No USB for powerThe on unit display only shows temp in CelsiusCan set temp alarms, but only 1 for the unit and 1 for the probe.Can set humidity alarm, but only 1 for the unit* Although the pictures show you can set an upper and lower value for the alarms, that isn’t true. You must chose if the alarm is “greater than”, “equal”, or “less than” the value you set and you can only configure one per section (main, probe, humidity)In the app, the “Device Info” shows the “Virtual ID”, the MAC and the external IP but not the device IPThe good:The unit is nice and small and the display on the main unit is easy to read.The unit comes with a magnetic with tape and double sided tape, plus a string for mounting.The unit quickly pairs. Set your phone to connect to the appropriate, open the app, it gets auto-detected (or you can manually connect) via Bluetooth. The app then asks which WIFI that the device should use and the WIFI password. Within a couple minutes it will connect via WIFI and be available in the app.The device properly supports TUYA, and if you want it can use 3rd party smart apps. (Google and Alexa)The display on the TUYA app is very easy to read with “Environment” meaning the main unit temp.As a nice touch, the TUYA app shows the weather forecastLike other TUYA devices, you can change the device name and location.As a TUYA device you can use it anywhere that the device has internet via WIFI and your phone has internet.HomeAssistant immediately discovers it as a new TUYA device.Being able to see humidity is a nice bonus compared to most that only show temperature.The Tuya app shows battery and can be set to set an alarm for low battery.Overall I like the device. I just wish it allowed USB charging and that the local display could be set to show F instead of C. At least the device will warn you that the batteries need replacing, unlike other remote temperature sensors that I’ve owned.

Très bon produit, je m’en sers pour la température de la piscine, la sonde dans l’eau et le boîtier dans la pièce et j’ai bien des mesures distinctes. J’ai vérifié avec un autre thermomètre et le résultat est très fiable. En plus avec l’application smart Life, je connais les températures à distance et c’est exactement ce que je recherchais. Malgré que la notice soit en anglais, c’est très simple à utiliser. Il faut d’abord télécharger l’application smart live et après tirer sur la languette qui bloque la pile et ça se fait tout seul.

Me parece un gran producto pero yo pensaba que me avisaría la aplicación a mi teléfono cada vez que la temperatura se sobrepasara. Pues no, tienes que entrar a la aplicación y consultarla para ver a que temperatura está. No me sirve de nada. Que lástima, me parecía útil y fácil de manejar.

J’avais peur pour la portée du wifi puisque ma piscine est à quelques dizaines de mètres. Mais ça marche parfaitement.Pour la sonde immergée, la petite ventouse ne marche pas, j’ai dû lester avec un peu de plomb. Par ailleurs, j’ai dû inventer un système pour que la sonde soit protégée de l’eau tout en restant lisible. Elle n’est pas étanche et le câble est court pour une configuration de piscine. Evidemment il faut utiliser l’application spécifique qui est liée à cet équipement.

Drivs med 2 AAA batterier. En av enheterna fullkomligt äter batterier. Ungefär 2 veckor mellan byten. Den andra har inte klagat än efter 4 veckor. Vet inte om batterikonsumtionen skall vara så här hög eller inte. Kanske en är defekt även om den fungerar bra förutom att den slukar ström. Den som använder mer ström är i samma rum som WiFi enheten.
