bought the Alphabet Puzzles for Toddlers, ABC Puzzle Toys Wooden Montessori for my child, and I’m really impressed with the quality. The wooden pieces are sturdy, smooth, and perfectly sized for little hands. The colors are bright and engaging, and my child immediately gravitated toward it.What I like the most is that it’s both fun and educational. It helps with letter recognition, fine motor skills, and keeps my toddler busy without screens. The Montessori style is simple but very effective. Just OK puzzle
Cheaply made, arrived in a mess (letters all jumbled in plastic wrap), very thin, however i am keeping. It is very hard to find a puzzle with both upper and lower case letters, with most that you find having letter shapes that look strange. I would not re-purchase this puzzle.

Useful in many ways other than puzzle
TL; DR: well-made product though a little smallFirst off, have to say that this product is recommended for ages three and over and the child that I’m going to be talking about is just shy of two years old.This product is well made. When we originally opened it, it did have a weird smell, but that smell disappeared within, I don’t know, a day. I love that under the capital letters there are pictures to support the letter-sound correspondence as well as a letter written as an additional scaffold of support. I also think it’s neat that the lowercase letters have outlines so a kiddo can trace the shape readily with their finger.That said, I think the puzzle itself and the pieces should be larger. My kiddo is roughly the size of a four year old with the fine motor skills of a five year old and those letters are small. Which also means the pictures under the letters and the letters themselves are also small.That said, the learning opportunities for this puzzle are quite rich. It feels like it’s maybe better that I got this puzzle at the stage of development that my child is at right now, because there are a lot of different activities that I can do with them to help foster foundational literacy as they move forward. Even though they are just shy of turning two.So, we do 5 to 6 letters in a sitting. We talk about the shape of the letter, the sound(s) of the letter, different words we know that start with that/those same sound(s), and my kids slides the puzzle piece into place. Then we also find its companion letter, whether that be upper or lowercase and add that.The independent play with this puzzle right now looks like my child dumping the letters on top of the puzzle base and then moving them off. They will then find one of about 4 or 5 favorite letters and roam around with them.As I read this back my educational background is pretty loud in this review. I was a special education teacher for over a decade and that seems useful to name here.

Beautiful puzzle
This puzzle is so beautiful. The letters are shaped well and sturdy. The colors are pretty cute too. I appreciate the self correcting color matching quality since the letters have the same color painted into their slot.
